I have visited quite a few yoga studios, and am so pleased with Suze’s Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS!. I have been attending since February of this year and purchased a year membership yesterday! I absolutely love the instructors, and most importantly, the owner, Suze, is such an inspiration, role model…not to mention, so personable! I feel so comfortable in this studio, absolutely love all of the students that attend the classes, and have advanced my practice so much, thanks to the educated instructors and the push to explore our boundaries freely! I highly recommend checking out at least one class…you’ll love the atmosphere! Every friend that I have introduced is now attending regularly!

I’ve practiced Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! with Suze since before she had her 1st studio location. She used to travel to various locations across the metroplex , bringing her yoga-style to us , wherever she could find a space. The first class — I was hooked!! I was tired of the gym & amazed that “yoga” could give me such an overall work-out. I’d lie on my mat at the end of a class, completely drenched - feeling my heart, lungs, muscles - but none of the chronic pain I had from too many years of weights & running. It’s coming up on 9 years for me, practicing DPYP! Not only have I maintained a healthy physical body, but I’ve learned so much about how our thoughts & emotions affect our physical body. Over all these years, Suze created a beautiful space for us to practice. By beautiful, I mean more than how it looks. All of her teachers and staff welcome us and care for us the moment we enter the Studio. There is a sense of being “real” - that it’s safe to be your’self’ here, no matter who you are. Suze’s style emphasizes sound-vibration release. It seemed weird at first - now I couldn’t imagine ‘holding it in’. What I am most grateful for is that I’ve always been able to count on my DPYP! yoga practice. Suze speaks often about bringing our dreams into reality; and that to do that - we need a strong foundation. I read her bio on her web-site. Maybe it’s her farm upbringing - I don’t know; but, she’s created and continues to maintain a strong foundation - a place for us to practice - consistent class times, consistent teachers. I own a business and I’m sure there were many times throughout the years that Suze didn’t feel like teaching, but us students never felt that. When she teaches, it’s as if no-one in the world is more important than her students. I’m not a boyfriend or girlfriend or any special person in this yoga studio. I’ve just observed over many years and wanted to express my gratitude.

I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years in the Dallas area - most of them with Suze Curtis at Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! I have tried many other styles and studios in the area and always end up back at the DPYP! studio. There are no doubt some other great yoga places in Dallas, but none of them have been able to match the amazing feeling during and after a DPYP! class. All of Suze’s teachers are incredible. I never get bored with the pose sequences since there is so much variety and nothing has kept my body and health in better shape than Suze’s style of yoga. (And I have done everything from bodybuilding to Martial Arts and real kickboxing) I know that it is not only because it is a phenomenal physical workout and detox, but also the sound and vibration that is encouraged to help release stored emotions and experiences that cause “dis-ease” within the body. I love that each class is multi-level so anyone can do it from those completely new to yoga to the seasoned yogi. Different levels of postures are shown and everyone is encouraged to work at their own level and take breaks if needed. There is no competetive feeling or judgement like you may feel in a gym atmosphere. There is truly nothing like it! There are about 4 or 5 other yoga studios closer to my home, but I chose to drive a little farther for the awesome experience I have every time. Go and check it out with an open mind and ENJOY!!

When we moved to Dallas my daughter and I went on a search for the best yoga studio in the city. Suze Curtis’ DPYP! won hands down. The first thing that I wanted was someone who really understood the body and could precisely explain the effect of specific movement on the joints. I had problems with my knees and didn’t want to suffer any more ’sports injuries’. Suze helped me understand how avoiding the pain kept constricting movement and increasing the problem. She could explain to me exactly what was going on in the knees with each pose and therefore helped me trust and keep trying when I was convinced I couldn’t go on. My knees represent a kind of metaphor for my life. Suze and her great staff have been there upholding me during a time of personal transformation and renewal. This is a place of acceptance and genuine friendship. Suze and her staff are a group of very centered people who understand yoga and its relationship to the healing of the body, mind and soul. The time I spend at DPYP! is like: * being on a spiritual retreat * a visit with a wise friend/sister/mother (and occasional brother!) * a class with such individualized attention that I feel I have a personal trainer * a trip to healing springs Suze has created a beautiful oasis of peace and calm. Suze shows genuine respect for all religious paths and makes me feel that each time I am in the studio I am free to re-connect with my God. I’ve made friends and have grown in harmony, purpose and self-esteem… and my knees are better! My genuine thanks to Suze and her great staff! I’m so glad you are in my life!

Definitely great for all abilities. You will always get an excellent workout. You can go at your own pace and take it easy (and still get a good workout) and push yourself to the edge and really see some personal/physical growth. Don’t be scared if Suze or one of the other instructors comes up to help you get into a pose…they know what they are doing and won’t let you do something BAD for your body. Be honest if something hurts and they will help you modify. They only want to see you GROW! Trust your body, be willing to go outside of your comfort level and open your mind and heart. It really is amazing.

I initially got into yoga after having a knee injury and was unable to run like I had in the past. Running had always been my emotional outlet and I was pretty discouraged at that point. Not only did yoga help fill that void, but I found that I really fell in love with it and began to tell all my friends about the healing power of yoga. Not long after beginning my yoga practice, I noticed my body becoming stronger and my knee no longer troubled me. Suze helped me to understand my body and really appreciate it. I have gained energy, strength, flexibility, and a much more positive self image.

Best Power YOGA ever!!! Suze Curtis’ Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! is the best all over body strenghtening excercise I have ever done while increasing flexibility. Sound and vibration is a big part of the yoga practice which releases stuck emotions - you will feel light, clear, and refreshed after only one session. The heat (not too hot) will also help release toxins that have built up in your body resulting in clearer skin and less body puffiness. The routines are varied and fun compared to other studios that do the same routine over and over again. The spirit and energy in the studio is upbeat, supportive, and compassionate. Try it just once and you will be hooked!

I hate working out but I love going to Suze’s power yoga classes. Suze is great in helping everyone move into the right poses to get the most out of our workouts. When I leave her class I feel streched out, rung out and tired but also so proud that I went to class. I am always recommending her class to friends and co-workers even if they have never done yoga before.

Suze’s yoga is like no others. I have been working out/excercising for 30 years now and have tried all the newest trends-spin, aerobics, kickboxing, weight training, running, you name it. I would have described myself as being very fit and healthy. I found Suze 8 years ago and thought I would give it a try (the newest trend in Dallas at the time). My first class with her was so humbling. It was the hardest thing I have every done. Within 3 months my whole body was transformed. Suze’s yoga is the hardest yoga out there. She has this unique ability to combine it all into one-hard work out with all the yoga benefits. I have tried other yoga places in town, but nothing compares to what Suze offers She is the best-hands down. You have to experience it to completely understand.

This is the most value for your money/time/effort/results in the Metroplex. It is for either the in-shape or the very motivated to get into shape as the instructors will draw attention to you and ways you can make a change to your body by correcting your yoga poses. It is not a place to go to “disappear” as you will probably be more in touch with your “SELF” here than anywhere else you’ve been before. The instructors are not sticklers about being on time anymore. It is a kinder-gentler arena where everyone’s limitations are on display, so it is a nice un-stuffy atmosphere to go to unwind at. Also, speaking about stuffy, if you have never been to a “heated” yoga class before, I suggest spending a couple of days with no a/c to get used to it before excercising in a sauna. I watched a program on t.v. one time where there was this Russian woman who said that saunas were the best way to lose weight…well picture a sauna where everyone is in constant muscle-building motion. Now, THAT is a workout!!! In fact, I weigh about 20 lbs more than I used to because of lean muscle, and I still fit into my old clothes. This is the best muscle workout you will ever have, and you don’t have to worry about dropping a dumbbell on your big toe. I never liked using weights, anyways. Those are for posers. Hehehe.

I started practicing yoga with Suze in 2001 to mend my bad back and gained so much more! With the guidance of Suze and all the amazing instructors at DPYP!, I have reduced stress and anxiety, learned how to breathe and gained strength and flexibility I never knew possible. After a few weeks, my low back pain virtually disappeared. I look forward to my 90 minutes on the mat to rest my mind and energize my body. Suze has created the most amazing and healing power yoga! I only wish I could get there more often!

I’ve been a Suze Power Yogi for over 7 years and yes, this is the most exhilerating and rewarding workout for everyone out there. The great thing is that even if you are a beginner, there are different levels for each pose and you are allowed to go at your own pace. I am a true devotee and cannot say enough about the mental, physical and psycological benefits this class offers. You walk out feeling as if you’ve gone through a full blown detox in an an hour and a half. For people that absolutely thrive on challenges, this is the most physically challenging regimen out there. Try it, you may just love it! BALANCE IS KEY.

I have been practicing yoga with Suze Curtis’ for almost ten years. I started attending her classes while I was running marathons and her yoga helped to enhance my running and offset the damage that running caused. I no longer run because of this damage, but I still practice yoga regularly — I cannot imagine my life without it. Suze’s yoga not only has physically transformed me, but I can see the changes in my mentality, too. Its hard to explain, but I have a calm mind now. And, when I do have a bad day, all I want is to go to yoga. When I first started practicing with Suze, her studio was within walking distance from my home. I now live 25 miles (roundtrip) from her studio and still make the trip. I have tried many other studios in the metroplex and none of them compare to Suze’s style nor do any of them compare to the value of her membership. She is at least half the cost of other studios. I would highly recommend Suze to anyone looking for a practice that will enhance their life.

I have been practicing yoga at Suze Curtis’ DPYP! for 3 ½ years, and it has greatly increased my flexibility and balance, as well as strengthening and lengthening my muscles (I do competitive ballroom dancing, and these are important). This studio is unique—it has a padded floor, as well as inspiring phrases painted in big colorful letters on the ceiling. The room is large with mirrors totally covering two walls. Everyone is very friendly, and you are encouraged to challenge yourself and “work your edge”, and to rest when you need to. The instructors are very encouraging and VERY knowledgeable about the poses and anatomy. I really like the format of the classes. The music played during these classes is very energizing (not the boring, go to sleep kind of music I thought yoga music was). You will either have Suze instruct your class to this upbeat music, or you will have an instructor in the room while simultaneously the upbeat music is played with Suze’s recorded instructions. The instructor will give the class helpful tips on the instructions, as well as giving students individual attention. With Suze’s live or recorded instructions, I can really mentally visualize the pose, rather than having to look up at an instructor for visual cues and in the process lose my balance. The sequence and timing of poses in these classes works ALL of your muscles in ways that just isn’t possible to do at a gym. You burn an incredible number of calories in these classes! My husband finally decided to try yoga, and he’s been an avid yogi now for about six months. He agrees that this yoga is as challenging as his gym workouts. Since he also dances with me, he’s noticed that his posture, flexibility, and balance have improved. Thank you, Suze!

I’ve been going to Suze’s yoga studio for 3 + years and it has really changed my life. First, a stubborn 5 lbs. came off within a few weeks; then, I became much stronger and more flexible. The greatest change has been in my outlook on life - more positive, less stress, less judgemental, and more loving. I tell my friends (and anyone else that will listen!) that Suze’s class is a workout/therapy session in one! And - for those of you that think yoga is only stretching, please come! I’ve tried other yogas and although I enjoyed them, nothing beats Suze’s class for a fantastic, hard, sweaty workout. You know you’ve done something fantastic for your body when you are finished. One last thing - the studio’s success is due to Suze’s caring, loving committment to making it the best! She truly cares about all of her members and their well-being. She is the best!!!

My husband and I first started taking classes with Suze 4 years ago when we lived in Farmers Branch. Since then, my husband and I opened a business in Denton about 30 miles from the studio. We contemplated continuing to make the drive and for a short while I tried out several studios closer to home for me. NOTHING even came close to the experience I had at Suze’s studio. It really made me realize how talented Suze and all of her instructors are and how “user” friendly the actual studio is for students. So my husband and I have continued making the drive from Denton to Addison 3 times a week now for over 2 years and have no intention of stopping. It’s the only time in my life I have actually looked forward to driving in traffic! It’s worth the drive!

I have been going to Suze’sclasses for the last 7 years. I have not been going for the last 6 months and trust me when I say this, I can see it and feel it on my body. When I started out with Suze, I was single and went 5 times a week. I lost 30 lbs in about 7 months and noticed I had muscles showing I was not used to seeing. I also noticed I got a lot more dates because I was in great shape. Fast forwarding to the present time, I am married and have gained about 20 lbs back - I guess you can say I am very happily married. I am going to start back with Suze next month and I have a lot of work to do to get back to where I was. My point to this review is that her classes work. It does not matter if you are a begginer or have been there since she started. The setting of her class is in a large room that has a padded floor (recommended over hard wood floors) and wall of mirrors so you can see how good or bad you look in a pose. The thing I enjoy most about her classes is that you go at your own pace. If you want to stop and take a break, you stop. If you want to push yourself harder, go for it and you will be sore the next day. The more you go to her classes the more you will notice physical changes to your body. Things I noticed about her class is I became more flexible, stronger, I had more energy throughout the day and I felt better about myself. I look forward to starting back with her as it is a great way to release stress at the end of the day.

I met Suze when she was just starting her yoga business and was absolutely amazed at her devotion and her practice. I learned so much from her and her associates and am so happy that she has continued to be able to offer her passion and talents to the north Dallas area. If you are familiar with yoga or just checking it out for the first time you simply must pay Suze a visit and experience the power of a group of people working to better themselves and truly remove what stands in the way of their growth and development. I owned a gym, and I have spent more than fourteen years training amateur and professional fighters. I chose this studio because, as they say, it is the “real deal.” This is also a place where people of all athletic capabilties can benefit. I have seen competitive athletes as well as mothers to be and people with more life experience (many with arthritis or other debilitating conditions) find new avenues for growth in this environment.

Being older and “larger” than the average person in class; I was surprised when I was actually could bend and fold and hold poses that I thought I forgot how to do. The heat was intense at first and I never thought I could sweat so much. Afer a few classes (yes just a few) I craved my Yoga High. Yes ,the class is a challenge but WOW I feel better acout the choice I made for my exercise program. It is amazing what your body can still do. The instructors help with poses and the positive attiude they guide you with is a blessing for sure. I have taken family members (Ages 16 to 56) to Suze’s Power Yoga when the visit from Chicago, they all love the “sweaty yoga”

This class is for everyone! No matter where you are on your fitness ladder - this will take you to the next level. My friends said Suze’s class ripped my body in ways they haven’t seen before. I felt guilty because I actually got therapy out of it too - the emotional strength and fitness that Suze preaches along with the self respect for your whole self and your body is something that I have only heard her preach in a yoga practice! Respect your levels and I went farther than I could if I just pushed myself. Good advise for a type-A personality. Everyone should go atleast once.

I thought when I joined 7 years ago this would be my choice of exercise until I got bored and moved on to the next best thing… 7 years later I’m still excited about going to class and she is always changing things to keep her regulars challenged. Read everyone’s reviews but you will never understand what all the hype about until you come and see for yourself.. oh and good luck - she will kick your butt.. but keeps you coming back for more!

Suze’s Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! is with out a doubt the BEST yoga studio I have ever been to. I have been practicing yoga for roughly 7 years and have visited a variety of studios. Now that I have found Suze, I cannot bring myself to go anywhere else even though I no longer live near her studio. She has a remarkable personality that allows you to feel comfortable and confident even when you are not feeling those things inside. She is motivating and calming and she has been able to create that atmosphere throughout her studio and instill those qualities in her teachers as well. I have recommended numerous people to DPYP! over the past 3 years and will continue to do so.

Dynamic Power Yoga is a complete health experience for me. Not only can I go to a session to get a great workout, but I leave feeling refreshed emotionally and mentally as well. Suze is a motivational influence and is also a calming presence in her sessions. Each of the instructors she employs has a unique and welcoming style of their own. I can honestly say that when I look at the class schedule, I never avoid a particular class time because I don’t care for the instructor. I think that’s terribly rare in any fitness environment. I can go to a session no matter how I’m feeling on a given day because I can get out of it anything I need. If I’m tired and not feeling well, I go with my intention of reviving a bit, but taking it easy on myself. If I’m ready to really workout, detox, tone and burn calories, I can reach that level in the classes as well. No matter how I feel when I arrive, I always feel a sense of improvement and overall wellness when I leave. I’ve attended yoga at Suze’s for about 2 years, and I’m currently practicing there through my first pregnancy. I am so thankful to have this studio now, more than ever. I’m just as comfortable practicing there during pregnancy as I was before. I often wonder how other mother’s manage their pregnancies without the relief and reviving that I get from Dynamic Power Yoga plus!. I plan to continue to practice throughout my pregnancy, and I look forward to having Suze’s there for me once my pregnancy is over as well!

I’ve practiced yoga for more than 10 years and love to try different styles and teachers because I believe they all have something to offer. No matter what mood I’m in - whether I want to really get a challenging workout, or whether I”m looking for a more meditative practice - I can always get what I need here. The studio atmosphere and the teachers at Suze’s are motivating, positive, and supportive - like dropping into a friend’s kitchen for a chat - except you sweat! And I can almost always work a practice into my day, since Suze offers so many classes each week and you can come to any class. Even with a chaotic schedule, it’s possible to have a consistent practice here. Best of all, no matter what my day’s been like or what kind of mood I’m in, by the time I leave, I feel great! I’m calm, happy and feeling at peace with the world - and very motivated to come back.

I have been with Suze Curtis for two years now, and I would drive from downtown Dallas to Addison in the midst of any traffic jam just to make her classes! Have tried plenty of yoga studios in the metro but none compare to the DPYP! experience. Classes are challenging at any level of yoga practice, there is a holistic approach as well as the opportunity for you to expand in a guided environment, all things I have come to love!

Not only has my figure and posture benefited from the challenging and strengthening “exercise/practice” but I have prospered as a person and in my career. Suze herself is quite an inspiration -beautiful to look at because she is committed to the practice, teachings and evolution of her own spirit and yet she remains grounded, humble and compassionate. Age was catching up to me! I was creaky in the mornings. Friends & coworkers were having back, knee, hip and shoulder problems. Pains, surgery and physical therapy were constant topics of conversation. So I jumped at the chance to try an “awesome” yoga class. It was and is an awesome class! The atmosphere is accepting, encouraging and problem solving. If you can’t do it one way, there are other ways to try. If you need to rest, then do so and then rejoin. Do what you can and you will do better as time goes on. I have been going about twice a week for 18 months. The work is challenging, ever changing and rejuvenating. Results were felt almost immediately. The creakiness was the first to go, my posture and balance have improved. I feel more core strength and of course I am more flexible. Just do it!

I have been a student at Suze’s for over a year now and look forward to every class I attend. From the moment you walk in and are greeted to when you walk back out everyone makes you feel like family. There are almost 100 classes a month to attend and each one has its own challenges. Having never taken a Yoga class before walked in to my first class I have been guided, motivated and instructed not just on my structure and pose but on discovering myself. It is an amazing studio to be a part of and I recommend it to everyone from beginners to seasoned experts. It never matters if Suze herself is teaching or one of her amazing instructors ( or transformers as she likes to call them) you always leave feeling better then when you walked in. Thank you Suze for such a wonderful studio!

When I discovered Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! over 9 years ago, I was struggling with physical limitations from Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was emotionally down on myself because I was not able to exercise and “be on the go” all the time like I used to. I was in pain and tired all the time…I felt like I was not able to “give” to those most important to me: my husband and my twin girls. Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! helped me get my “active” life-style back and I was able to cut my arthritis medications in half! Not only did I overcome my physical limitations but emotionally I am now better able to deal with the reality of my disease. I am healthier and happier than I ever thought I could be! My relationship with my husband is so much better and my girls have their Mom back! I tried several other yoga studios in the area but none fit my expectations of an overall workout or my “personality”. Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! allows me to get a very vigorous total body workout, it motivates me to push past the “discomfort” to create something new and exciting, and helps me “let go” of my old “stuff”…..All in an atmosphere of encouragement and inspiration! I would highly recommend Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! to everyone – no matter your age or fitness level….especially anyone with arthritis who thought they could no longer “get a good workout”. You should just go try it out for yourself!

I started with Suze’s yoga classes last Spring, but fell out of touch with it for many months and re-joined last Fall. I immediately noticed a change in not only my body, but my overall mental health. I felt very comfortable in the classes and never felt intimidated by more experienced yogis. All of the instructors are very helpful with giving personal attention and ensuring each person is doing the pose correctly. I would highly recommend this studio if you want to try power yoga!

Invited to visit Suze’s studio by a friend, I agreed to find out for myself this amazing transition she assured me I would experience from Suze’s practice. After my initial visit which included feelings of nausea and dizziness, I wondered what had I gotten myself into (lol). But with Suze’s nuturing encouragement and support, I could feel emotional and physical change was possible and committed to practice three times a week. I am amazed at the change in my practice from where I started to where I am now, just a year later, and rave about Suze and her power yoga to every one I know. If the world had more “Suzes”, what a wonderful world this would be!

Suze’s classes are a great way to learn how to take your yoga practice to the next level and learn about yourself. The “fringe” benefits are a great workout and strength building I didn’t expect.

I spend a lot of time taking care of other people, to the point that “I” get lost in the shuffle. The great thing about Suze’s is that she and each of her instructors reiterate all thru class that your time on your mat is about taking care of yourself for a change, and believe it or not, taking care of myself is something I have to be reminded to do. This studio is about spiritual, emotional, and physical health, not just whether you’re getting the pose right. Suit up, show up, and do the best you can do on that day, in that moment. It’s all about SELF at Suze’s–discovering it, recharging it, and taking that growth out in the world with you when leave.

I have been at Suze’s for a year and a half and benefitted tremendously. After years of practicing yoga (elsewhere), I had never experienced so much growth physically, mentally, and emotionally as I have since joining Suze’s. I immediately saw a transformation in my physical appearance and feel so much more of a connection between mind and body. The studio itself is warm and welcoming and Suze and the teachers are encouraging and inspiring. Suze’s offers an awesome practice for yogis of all levels and a style that is unique, unlike anywhere else I’ve been.

I began my journey with DPYP! in 1998. Even though they have grown, they have always felt like a small family each time I walk in for a class. The routines are a great balance of strength and flexibility. With the variety of the routines and the level of instruction, you will never get tired of going to classes. Whether you have never done yoga, or have been doing it for years, DPYP! is a great place to go.

Suze Curtis always says — ‘You’re as young as your spine’. Well, I recently suffered a broken back in a serious fall. The neurosurgeon was amazed that I was not paralyzed. I’m convinced that years of DPYP! strengthened my spine and muscles and prevented the broken vertebrae from damaging or severing my spinal cord. I’m still on the mend, but everything works. Doctor says no more ‘full wheel pose’, but with Suze’s help I plan to prove him wrong.

I always get best workout and feel like a million bucks when I leave there. I had hip problems and after going consistently to class I was able to have more movement without discomfort. If you are in a bad mood when you get there you will not be when you leave. The heat helps to warm up tight muscles and soothes aching joints.

I’ve been attending Suze’s Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! studio for many years and absolutely love the results when I am consistent with my workouts. Suze has created an environment for yogees of all levels; no matter who you are, what you do and how long you’ve practiced (or not); you will see results with regular practice. What I love the most is that her workouts allow me to practice strength, flexibility and some cardio - it’s not a workout unless I sweat and I sweat tons in this class. It obviously works, look at her; Suze is amazing and a great testament of focus and determination plus she is very, very encouraging. I plan on continuing my practice there as long as I can manage to breathe (wink)!

These yoga classes are perfect for all body types, athletic abilities, and lifestyles. I have been going to Suze’s class for several years (off and on due to work scheduling) and have to say, I am always at my strongest (both physically and mentally) when I practice regularly. The energy in this studio is fantastic! I have tried several other studios around town, and while they are good in one area, nothing beats the all-around workout I get here. Any level (extreme beginner to seasoned yogi) will benefit from this studio! It is both fun and challenging…and you will always walk out of the class with the feeling that you came away with something good. Everytime you get on your mat here, you grow and allow yourself to be *that* much stronger. I am not saying the class is easy…cause it isn’t! But that is what makes it so addictive. The first few classes will be a struggle, and you might feel awkward, but as you come back…and the amazing way your body and soul feel…you start to notice your balance, strength and breath is stronger and more focused. The room is warm, but not as hot as Bikram…and you WILL get your heart rate up here. Try it. Once you do, you will probably become addicted!

I’ve been going to Suze’s Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! for a number of years and can say that it is one of the best workouts you can experience. After a practice, I realize the many different muscles used in yoga that are not even touched in my traditional workout of running or the elliptical machine. One of the best ‘mantras’ that I have gotten from this class is ‘being comfortable in an uncomfortable situation’. In learning this technique, it is something that will transcend your life. HIGHLY recommend this studio!

I saw an ad for Suze’s Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! - The only workout you’ll ever need, and I thought ‘hum, really?’ Having been a sports advocate my entire life - everything from competitive swimming to running five miles a day - I thought yoga was merely for meditation and relaxation. Boy, was I wrong. I also have a motto of ‘I must try everything once’ - which has also resulted in two back surgeries. That’s another story, but it resulted in me having three screws and a plate drilled into three vertebrae in my neck and four titanium cages drilled into two of my vertebrae in my lower back. All I have to say now is ‘Thank the universe for Suze!’ I’ve been a member now for seven years and love every class. That’s the best part of Suze’s - there are so many different classes that are taught. It never gets boring. And, you sweat your a$$ off - literally. All I can say is ‘What are you waiting for? Get your a$$ to Suze’s!’

I have been to other yoga studios, in Texas and in other states. Suze has the most unique and most addicting class I have ever encountered. I have been a student for 6-7 years and have never grown tired of the practice. Suze combines mental, emotional and physical health into her classes as well as one hell of a workout. The beauty of our practice is that you can accomplish it whether you are tired or full of energy. After leaving the class, you will have a higher sense of self and relaxation you cannot experience anywhere else.

I’ve tried many yoga studios throughout the metroplex and haven’t found anything like Suze’s DPYP! She is the real-deal: practices what she preaches. You can feel that when you walk into the studio. Suze’s studio is non-pretentious and you’ll find seasoned yogis as well as newbies in every single class. There is nothing like this ANYWHERE!

I’ve been attending Suze’s yoga class for about 7 years now. I like what the exercise does to my body. When I go consistently, I trim down and tone up. It takes about 2 weeks to see the results (if I go 3 times a week). It’s a comfortable environment, meaning, you don’t have to be perfect to go. No one is concerned with your appearance or how you do or don’t do the poses, nor will you be concerned with theirs. The class remains focused on what is good for you; and if you can do more, then do more. You will feel encouraged to do the best that you can do and feel good about what you did.

Suze’s yoga is a truly unique experience…I’ve tried half a dozen other studios in the metroplex & never have I left a single one of them feeling the way I do after a practice at Suze’s! With eighteen different sequences I always feel challenged and motivated in my practice and even on the days where I’m feeling tired, the instructors always show modifications and encourage going at your own pace. Besides how amazing the physical workout is, Suze and her instructors always emphasize the balance between the physical and mental/emotional aspects of yoga…the unifying of the mind & body is what yoga is truly about and Suze’s classes and philosophies are in alignment with those principles.

I can not say enough about Suze Curtis and her yoga studio. She has such a beautiful intent in all that she does. Her studio offers so much more than a phenomenal yoga class, it delivers spiritual messages that can be life changing. I learned to give myself permission to take care of myself. This lesson and my practice with her carried me through a very painful divorce and my current husband’s devastating accident. This practice has enabled me to take on so many challenges I would have shyed away from and it has taught me to love myself. I know that sounds like a lot from a yoga class, but it is true. Truth is also something that is so honored and respected in the studio, particularly being true to oneself. After all, if we do not have that, what is the point? I have relocated to Boston and am sad to say after much searching; I can not replace Suze Curtis’s magic! Maybe I’m not suppose to as she told me through email when I was missing my classes so much. I have found a studio that is probably as close as I can get. Suze would ask me to have my heart open to the beautiful offerings I may not find initially and this is what I have done. I use this philosophy in most encounters now and what a difference living this way truly is! I believe she is an angel and the Dallas area is so blessed to have her there. Suze Curtis Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! is the BEST!

There is just no way to fully express how my time on the mat at DPYP! has transformed my life off of the mat; I am so grateful for the gifts that this powerful practice brings to my life. I still consider myself to be a “newbie”. In just four months, I’ve lost weight and inches (I still have a long way to go, but I’ve gained so much loving acceptance for being true to myself and what I can do.) More than just amazing exercise, this practice is a life-altering spiritual and emotional journey. I’m not one of those slender young things who can perfect each pose with strength and grace. I’m “older”, overweight, an acknowledged klutz. I tend to hide out in the back of the “transformation station” (practice area), so that no one will have to have a view of my butt! Self-conscious and feeling vulnerable without my glasses, I begin to move through the poses, the heat sinking into my joints, stretching and lengthening them, as the instructors give modifications and gentle adjustments. Focus and concentration, along with sound and vibration therapy, yield to the depth and wonder of who I really am at heart and spirit, as I find my edge and my self consciousness and vulnerabilities slip away in rivulets of sweat. There is so much peace and joy to be found in what you can do when you find a safe and loving space in which to discover it. For this and so much more, I am thankful and blessed to have found Suze Curtis’ studio. Namaste.

Suze Curtis’ Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! has given me freedom to move and get around in this world. I used to travel via automobile for a living. After being in the car for hours, it would take some time before I could move. Turning my head to look over my right shoulder was a challenge. My future looked dark . Arthritis had caused hip and knee replacements in my inmmediate family. This was not the future I wanted. Since joining Dynamic Power Yoga a year and a half ago, I now can move, twist, bend, stand on my head etc….and anything else I want to do. Being flexible and having good posture is a joy! Using a walker or a wheelchair is no longer in my future.

I have been going to Suze Curtis’ DPYP! for five years, and love it. The class times are solid and consistent, and always start on time. The style is challenging, and formats are varied enough to keep me from getting bored. I love the way she teaches her classes, and when she’s not there, she has voice-over tracks, with instructors giving great modifications, adjustments and encouragement. I have gone through some incredibly amazing physical, mental, and emotional changes over the time I have been doing yogo at DPY. I highly recommend it!

I’m thankful for such an amazing place for people to move and grow. Since recommitting myself (about 3 months ago) I have gotten so much out of these classes! Just on the outside I’ve lost 7 lbs, inches from my hips, waist and thighs, and one of my clients commented on how strong and defined my arms were the other day. (I have always been athletic, but these classes prove to be the MOST CHALLENGING and REWARDING workout I have ever done!) MORE than the physical transformation though, I am THANKFUL for the emotional, spiritual and mental transformation. Going to DPYP! has been so therapeutic for me, I continue to be amazed at the positive changes I see happening in my life. Truly my own sound and vibration have released so much feeling, expression, and healing…things that I could never of reached. I’m thankful to be a part of this wonderful world. The instructors are truly beautiful, inspirational and unique - each one special in their own way. I continue to feel grateful for the opportunity to practice here and to learn and grow. I hold a special place in my heart for Suze and everyone involved with DPYP!

Almost everyday someone ask me how I stay in shape. I say “all I do is Yoga” and eat healthy, then I typically have to convince them I am telling the truth. After getting burned out on the trendy exercises like aerobics, kickboxing, weights, etc. it was unbelievably comforting to find out that yoga can do all the great things for my body but in a healthy way. Then add in the fact that it reverses aging, detoxes your body and helps prevent athirits it makes me wonder “why” I didn’t learn about it sooner. It is hard for outsiders to believe these things but when you leave an aerobic class or weight class you are typically tighter and exhausted. When you leave a yoga class you have rejuvenated your entire body, loosened it up, challenged it and reversed all the stressful things done to it that day. It is an AMAZING gift to everyone. There are many different kinds of yoga. Personally I like the power yoga because I do want to stay in shape at 42 and reflect a healthy me. Suze is amazing!

I’m a believer. I hate going to the gym, I dread working out. But after trying Suze’s class just one time I was hooked. It’s a great work out, not just “stretching”. You will work hard!! Each class teaches me something new and I’m always challenged. I love it, too, because there are ALL LEVELS of people in there and I don’t feel awkward or embarrased as a beginner. There are always modifications to everything and you’re encouraged to do as much as you can do and be OK with it. Try it. You’ll love it!

I have been going to Suze Curtis for over two years and feel as if it’s my home! I had never done yoga before and was afraid that I wouldn’t be good enough. From the minute that I met her from day one, she was open arms and inviting! Yoga can be whatever you make it out to be! If you go in there for yourself and think positive, and only try what your body allows you to do, (without ego) then you have just begun your practice. Suze brings out the fire within, but only guides you into, it is your choice to go there, and it is also your choice to back off! Either way, the fact that you show up and take the first step to taking care of yourself is what matters!

I could write all day about how great Suze Curtis’ studio is, all you have to do is try it out and discover for yourself the very best, all encompassing, health creating exercise experience ever! Really! The studio is incredible and beautiful, the teachers are wonderful, dedicated, experienced, compassionate, encouraging - and the workout is the best. I have had many experiences in different workout environs - studios, gyms, etc. and nothing comes close to the health and fitness I’ve attained doing Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS!

Suze’s Studio changed my life. I have been going there for about 2 years now and the changes in my body and mind are unbelieveable. I feel physically and mentally ready for anything because of all the detoxing that happens in every hour and 15 minute class. If you like to sweat it all out, and I mean buckets, this place is for you! The teachers are very good with modifications for everyones needs, because everyone is different. I deffantly will continue to take at Suze’s for as long as a possibly can.

Suze’s specialized brand of yoga & her studio have been a life-changing experience for me. I’ve been to at least a dozen different studios in & outside the metroplex & not one of them hold a candle to this place. I just got back from La Jolla, CA & tried a Bikram yoga class while there, only to be disappointed in the structure & rigidity of the class. Suze & her instructors are compassionate leaders who show modifications for all levels - beginner to advanced. You will leave the studio feeling like a new person, not to mention you will get the best workout of your life! Be sure to bring extra towels & water!!!

This yoga is different than an other yoga experience you have had, I garentee it. At first you might find it a little odd as you hear the students around you release with different groans and expressions, but after you become comfortable in the studio you will find yourself joining in. Suze preaches YOUR ISSUES ARE IN YOUR TISSUES. It truely is a life changing experience. Along with gaining muscular strength and slimming down, you will also find yourself more centered in what is important in your life. Each teacher has a unique way of teaching while always incorporating motivational and inspirational messages. You will leave uplifted and calm ready to face this crazy world we live in.

You leave studio without any pain, in good mood and undertanding that this yoga is something!! Just after first lesson you can say that Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS! is good for everybody. I never exercise in my life seriously and never like to do it. Now I know how wrong I was. I love it. And, if you start to do once it never gone - like then you learned to read - it stays for all your life in your body, thoughts, movements. You became different. You never forget it and want to do again and again. Sometimes every day, sometimes twice a week……or take a break and do it again. I heard different opinions from my friends about DPYP! Nobody say that they don’t like it. Everybody told me that its really good stuff. And my opinion you nowhere find such nice persons working in the studio. Great teachers, kind lovely, honest, I cant find words to express how wonderful they are. Beyond compare. I can’t stop surprise how one person {Suze-owner} could give so much, be so creative.
